Terms Of Service

Binding Agreement

By using this website, by calling 442-245-7879, by contacting a Clean Kingdom employee’s cell phone, or by using a third party booking service to schedule a cleaning appointment; you agree to comply and to be bound by these terms and conditions. The act of engaging with us is the act of agreeing to our Terms Of Service. If you do not agree to our Terms Of Service then do not engage with or schedule service with Clean Kingdom.

Right to Refuse Service Or Stop Communication

We reserve the right to deny and/or terminate service for any reason. Our employees have the right to leave any location for any reason. We reserve the right to stop communication with a client or potential client for any reason. We reserve the right to not complete a booking for any reason. Some examples of these reasons could be because of safety concerns, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, weapons on-premises, severe clutter, the inability to have maids arrive at your location, disconnected utilities, extremely dirty areas, or anything that makes our cleaners feel uncomfortable and/or communication that is bothersome or makes us feel uncomfortable.

Payments

Payments must be made digitally on the day of the cleaning by credit or debit card. We do not accept cash or check and we kindly ask you to not try to pay our employees as they are not authorized to handle payments. You will be sent a digital invoice requesting payment during or after the job. We kindly ask you pay as soon as possible.

Pricing and Rates

Our prices are based on an hourly rate with a two hour minimum. Our job pricing is provided based on our estimated amount of time we anticipate the job will take. We provoke our cleaners to try and meet the anticipated time provided however they may need more time. Each house is different and it’s hard to know the exact amount of time a job will take. We have different pricing brackets for the amount of cleaners sent to the location i.e we have a pricing bracket for one cleaner and we have a separate pricing bracket for two cleaners.

Note we pay our workers well and as a result you will have quality and trustworthy cleaners in your home. We are an actual company that has overhead such as marketing and insurances. If we are not making our minimum per job then it’s not worth the time and effort for us. According to market research we have determined our pricing is fair and it’s important to us that you know we do practice integrity while providing pricing. We suggest you take into consideration you get what you pay for.

Add-On Services

If you would like an “Add-On Service” then please request it ahead of the appointment or at the beginning of the appointment. Our standard cleaning protocol does not typically include “Add-On Services”. Please see our check list here: https://www.cleankingdom.us/checklist.

Satisfaction Is Not Guaranteed

We do not guarantee satisfaction. We have to pay our cleaners regardless of the quality of work so we will charge you whether or not you are satisfied with the work done. We charge hourly so if you are not satisfied with the quality of the cleaning then we perceive that as the job is not complete and we need to either stay longer to finish the job or return to complete the job. If we return, do additional cleaning, and you are still not satisfied then we will need to charge you for the cleaning done and book another appointment. Typically, when we get a complaint, we fix the issue and work with our clients until they are satisfied. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Walk Through Required

We require a walkthrough to be done at the end of each job. We instruct our cleaners to inform the client that they are finished and to request a walk through to be done by the client. Usually the client will tell our cleaners the areas they missed and we will stay longer or return to finish the job. If you decline the walk through or are not present at the end of the job then we are not to blame if you are not satisfied with the cleaning. We require your input in order to finish the job and we require your approval to declare the job complete. Once the walk through is completed then the job is declared done. You can ofcourse book another appointment if you would like additional cleaning. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Job Extensions Or Location Returns

If you are not satisfied with the job then we will need to either stay longer or return to finish the job. We charge hourly and the job is not complete until deem it complete. If we receive a complaint and we need to stay longer or return to the location to complete the job, then we will charge for the additional time. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Dishes On Location

The request for Dishes service makes us nervous. Our cleaners will assess the type of dishes in need of cleaning. If they are standard dishes we may proceed with cleaning. If they seem fragile or valuable we may decline to clean the dishes. If we do take the job then please understand that, by requesting this service, you are taking a risk of damaged dishes or dissatisfaction with the cleaning results and that you understand and agree you will not hold Clean Kingdom liable for dirty, broken, or damaged dishes. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Laundry On Location

Laundry service can take all day long to complete. We find this is not ideal for us or our client. The cost of service can double and it disrupts our schedule so we officially only offer a laundry folding and hanging services. We kindly ask you to do the washing and drying and have the laundry ready for folding when we arrive. We will fold or hang the laundry per your guidance. If we provide folding and hanging services then please understand that, by requesting this service, you are taking a risk of damaged clothing and that you understand and agree you will not hold Clean Kingdom liable for damaged clothing. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Cleaning Day Preparation

Your price for cleaning is based on our employees focusing all of their time on the cleaning. We ask that you take a few minutes to tidy up to allow the cleaners easy access to the areas/surfaces to be cleaned: floors, counter-tops, tabletops, etc. If you’d like our cleaners to do these tasks for you, call the office in advance so your cleaning fee can be adjusted for the additional time.

Service Fees

Clean Kingdom has the right to adjust pre-negotiated pricing at any time. We do try to stick with the same pricing originally provided however circumstances can arise that obligates Clean Kingdom to make adjustments. We appreciate your understanding.

Customer Complaints

Clean Kingdom has a 48 hour customer complaint policy. If you find an issue with our cleaning performance you have 48 hours to file a complaint. If you file a complaint within 48 hours we will happily dispatch one of our cleaning professionals to address the complaint free of charge. If you file a complaint after the 48 hour deadline, we are not obligated to address the complaint. Areas of a location can quickly be dirtied after a cleaning. They may gather dust, cobwebs, dirt etc. and it’s hard to assess whether or not this is the fault of our cleaner performance therefore we do not find it fair that we have to re-clean an area of your home free of charge. However, if you have a complaint and have missed the complaint filing deadline, we suggest you book another appointment with us and inform us of your complaint in the process. In this circumstance we will immediately address the area of need and see what we can do to offer a discount. We do want to provide a quality service and customer satisfaction is important to us therefore we are willing to work with you. Once the 48 hrs complaint window is closed you agree to release us from any and all liability associated with the job. Do not book with us if you are not okay with our 48 hour customer complaint policy.

Cleaning Supplies

We provide the equipment and products needed to thoroughly clean your home, if you require us to use green cleaning products only, please let us know before we start the service. If you do not let us know then we are not to responsible for using product that you do not approve of. A majority of our cleaning supplies are “ECO Friendly” and considered “Green” cleaning products however, for some of the more difficult tasks, Non-Green products are used so that we can effectively accomplish the task. If this is an issue for you please let us know and we can use an ECO Friendly product alternative however it may not be as effective.

If you request us to use your cleaning supplies we ask that you have the cleaning items ready so we can perform our cleaning service as efficiently as possible. You agree we are not responsible or liable for any damage associated with those products as our employees are only trained in the use of the products we provide them. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us. By booking with us you agree to release us from any liability associated with having us use your cleaning supplies.

If you request to use your vacuum, we will not assume or accept any liability for damage to the unit. Since we are not responsible for the maintenance of the vacuum, we will not be responsible for any repairs to it. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us. By booking with us you agree to release us from any liability associated with having us use your vacuum.

Dirty Location

Our professional cleaners will assess the location upon arrival. If the location is deemed extremely dirty we may decline to do the job. If we do take the job then please understand that, by booking with us, you are taking a risk of dissatisfaction and that you understand and agree you may not be entirely satisfied with the cleaning results. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this. Note we have accepted jobs for dirty locations before and, not only did it take an unreasonable amount of time to clean, but the location still looked dirty after the job was complete. In this circumstance we view this the fault of the condition of the location and is not a result of our cleaners performance. It is not fair to us that we do quality work to then be treated like we are incompetent because we didn’t make an old location look brand new. If your location is in bad condition then we suggest re-modeling to replace the dirty looking items. To expect a cleaning company to make a ruined items look brand new is not reasonable. We are not a construction company. We kindly ask you to manage expectations. 

Construction While Cleaning

Our professional cleaners will assess the location upon arrival. If there appears to be construction happening during the time period we are supposed to be cleaning then we may decline to do the job. If we do decide to clean during construction then understand , by booking with us, you are taking a risk of dissatisfaction and that you understand and agree you may not be entirely satisfied with the cleaning results. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this. It’s your decision to have construction happening during our cleaning time therefore it’s not our fault we can’t do our job properly. Note we have accepted jobs that were doing construction at the time we are booked to clean and, not only did it take an unreasonable amount of time to clean, but the house was immediately dirtied by the construction workers that we were then blamed for. In this circumstance we view this the fault of the construction workers and is not a result of our cleaners performance. We should not have to go back and redo our job. To expect a cleaning company to clean during construction is not reasonable. We kindly ask you to manage expectations. 

Post Construction Cleaning

Clean Kingdom does not typically accept post construction cleaning jobs. Our professional cleaners will assess the location upon arrival and if the location appears to be a post construction job and, that was not communicated ahead of time, then we will probably decline to do the job. Note post construction jobs can take up to three times the time to clean in comparison to a normal moving cleaning job.

Items We Cannot Clean

  • Extremely Dirty Areas.

  • Mold. Mold removal is a specialty, a service we do not offer.

  • Hoarding homes or areas with mass clutter.

  • Areas containing any animal or human body fluids i.e. blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, urine, excretions, etc.

  • Fragile and/or expensive items and household pieces.

  • Any area above 8 feet high.

  • Areas with leaks or water intrusion.

  • Anything deemed inappropriate or risky.

  • Anything that is damaged beyond cleaning i.e. marks on a wall that can only come out as a result of construction.

  • Outside a home. Out workers compensation does not cover outside the home.

Unreachable Areas and Heavy Items

For safety and liability reasons our employees can’t climb higher than a step stool, treat an area higher than 8 feet, or work outside of your home. Cleaners can’t move objects more than 35 pounds, if you would like cleaning behind heavy objects, please move prior to cleaning. If you request such services our employees are instructed to decline. If we do decide to have our cleaners either clean a hard to reach area or move a heavy object described herein then please understand , by booking with us, you are taking a risk of dissatisfaction and that you understand you may not be entirely satisfied with the cleaning results and you agree to not hold us liable for damages.

Damage Claims

While an occurrence is rare, the possibility of breakage or damage may happen as a result of our cleaning. Note we train our cleaners to exercise reasonable care when cleaning your home. In the instance you feel a Clean Kingdom employee is responsible for a damaged item then please document the complaint via photo and video that includes time, date, circumstance, and your reason for believing it is the fault of our employee. Notification must be made within 24 hours of breakage/loss of any personal items otherwise we are not liable. We will assess the accusation and react accordingly. If we find we are the source of the problem then we intend to react with integrity. Identical replacement is always attempted but not guaranteed.

Expensive Items

Do not ask Clean Kingdom to clean, handle, or get near expensive items. If you request our cleaners to clean, handle, or get near an expensive item then you are taking a risk of the goods becoming damaged and you agree you will not hold Clean Kingdom liable for any damages. If you anticipate our cleaners needing to be in an area where there are expensive goods then please remove them from the premises before our cleaning appointment and instruct them to stay away from that item and area. If you do not inform us there is a valuable item to proceed with caution with then how are we supposed to know to either decline to handle it or proceed with caution? It is your responsibility to provide guidance. If you do not do this then we are not liable for that damaged item. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

In addition to the circumstances describes in our Terms Of Service we are not liable for damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper installation of an item in your home, artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms not disclosed during the booking process, these items include but are not limited to the following.

  • Artwork, Collectibles and Family Heirlooms: These items are expensive and impossible to replace, the client should point out such items to us before starting service, please advise us how you would like your fragile items handled & their care.

Thievery Accusations

Before making this statement please note we do extensive background checks and heavily vett before hiring our employees. We do everything we can to ensure we send non-threatening and trustworthy people into your home. However, if you make an accusation of thievery, you need to have video evidence of the theft. To say “I left a watch on the counter before they got there and it was gone when they left” is not enough for us to accuse an employee of thievery, sue for damages, and fire them. You must provide physical evidence so that we may present this evidence in a court of law and to our insurance carrier. If you have loose items such as jewelry, electronics, or other items of value we kindly ask you put them in a drawer, cabinet, or safe before our cleaners arrive. If you do not provide video evidence of your accusation then you agree we are not responsible or liable for the stolen goods. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Before and After Photos and Video

We instruct our employees to take before and after photos and videos of all of our locations. These recordings display the condition of the location before we begin cleaning and after we are done cleaning. They are critical for us to be able to prove we have performed as promised and that we left location in good condition. By booking with us you agree to allow us to take the before and after pictures and videos of your home. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us as we are not willing to compromise on this policy.

Recordings

We record all phone calls. We instruct our employees to record all interactions while on the property. This is done for employee safety, proof of disputes, and to evaluate their communications and performance. By booking with us you agree to allow us to take video and audio recordings of you and your home during the time we are in your home. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us as we are not willing to compromise on this policy.

Pets

We will gladly work around pets, keep the door shut, and cater to their presents however we ask that indoor activity is limited for cleaning efficiency and safety reasons, if your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, Clean Kingdom reserves the right to remove its employees from your home. Our employees are instructed not to enter a house if they believe an animal is a threat, pets may behave differently if a family member is not present. If the removal of our cleaning technician is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply.

If there appears to be too many pets or a situation where we are not able to clean then we may decline to do the job. Also pets can be in the way of our cleaners doing their job and can immediately dirty an area. It is not fair to us that we do quality work to then be treated like we are incompetent because you choose to have pets occupying an area we are trying to clean. We should not have to go back and redo our job. If we do take the job then please understand that, by booking with us, you are taking a risk of dissatisfaction and that you understand and agree you may not be entirely satisfied with the cleaning results. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Booking Confirmation

Booking service online doesn’t guarantee you a spot for that date/time, you will be contacted by phone call, text, or email by a Clean Kingdom representative who will set up your appointment after determining a price and job details. Once you have a time arranged as a result of conversation with a Clean Kingdom representative, you can count on the appointment being booked. Typically we quickly text an appointment confirmation.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds, we have built our business providing our clients with the best possible service available, still, we realize that we are human, things will from time to time get missed, should this happen email or call us and we will see what we can do to remedy the situation.

Lockouts

The client shall make the service location accessible to Clean Kingdom personnel on the scheduled service day. If the team is locked out of the Client’s home, every effort will be made to establish contact with the Client to arrange for entry into the home, if contact is not made within 20 minutes of the arrival of the cleaning team, the scheduled cleaning will be skipped and you will be charged $70 late cancellation fee, this fee is necessary to compensate the employees for unexpected lost revenue, time, and travel, to avoid the fee provide us with a key or code to gain entry to your home.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Service reliability is extremely important because we reserve a time, especially for you, we request that you give us a minimum of 48 Hrs. advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason to avoid incurring a $70 cancellation fee.

Alarm

If your home is equipped with a security system, please ensure that it is in the off position or call our office with the code and proper directions for use. If the code should change please let us know so you do not incur a lockout charge.

Cleaners Arrival Window

We schedule our cleanings in an order that requires the least amount of drive time in an effort to maintain low prices & avoid trip fees, if you require a specific time we will make every effort to accommodate your request, however, no times are guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictable nature of our business & unforeseen circumstances traffic jams, weather, mechanical problems, allow us the flexibility of scheduling our cleaning between 8:00 am & 6:00 pm.

We generally do not run more than 10 minutes earlier nor more than 45 minutes later than the scheduled appointment time, if we are running late we will call you and/or text you.

Holidays

Clean Kingdom does not do holiday visits.

If your scheduled day falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule, the following holidays will be observed:

  • Independence Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Black Friday

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year Eve

  • New Year

Inclement Weather

We will be closed for business when weather conditions prevent local School Districts from opening.

Key Release

Client keys are coded and stored inside a locked cabinet to which only the managers of Clean Kingdom have access.

In the event the client chooses to leave a door unlocked or place a key under a mat or any other unsecured place for the cleaners to gain entry into the home, Clean Kingdom will not be held liable for any damages or theft to the client home.

Upon termination/cancellation of services, Clean Kingdom shall return any client key(s) in its possession no later than 48 hours after termination of services or the next business day.

Defamation

Upon engaging with Clean Kingdom you agree that you will not participate in public defamation against Clean Kingdom in any way and for any reason, whether you are in the right or wrong. If you do not agree with this then do not engage or book with us.

Liability

Upon booking with Clean Kingdom you agree to release Clean Kingdom from any and all types of liabilities. If you are not okay with this then do not book with Clean Kingdom. This statement is dated June 17th 2023. Note we care about customer satisfaction and, as a result, we might choose to wave this Term Of Service and compensate you for damages.

Non-Solicitation of Clean Kingdom Cleaning Service Employees

As our customer, we ask that you agree not to solicit for hire any of our cleaning employees to work directly for you. Our professional cleaners are background checked, their references verified & have completed comprehensive cleaning training. Significant time, resources & money are invested in each new employee before we allow them to enter our customer’s homes.

Governing Law

Any claim relating to Clean Kingdom website shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We have taken every effort to design our website to be useful, informative, helpful & honest, hopefully, we have accomplished that & would ask that you let us know if you would like to see improvements or changes that would make it even easier for you to find the information you need.

Clean Kingdom reserves the right to change these terms & conditions at any time without prior notice to you.
