What types of cleaning services does Clean Kingdom offer?

We have house cleaning services, recurring maid services, deep cleaning services, move-in and move-out cleaning services, and commercial cleaning services.

What is included in a standard house cleaning services?

Our standard house cleaning services are customized to meet your needs. They typically include vacuuming, dusting, wiping down surfaces, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, and other essential services. Additional services are added per request and are an additional charge.

What is included in a Move In / Out Cleaning?

When booking a Move Out or Move In clean, you can expect an a reasonable service. Please note this is not a Deep Cleaning and this is not Post Construction Cleaning. This clean is intended to clean and tidy up a home after or before moving, that is all. Additional services are added per request and are an additional charge. Note we have had clients think we are a construction service that has the ability to remove marks, dirt, and grime that can only be removed via sanding and repainting or reconstruction, a service we do not offer. We kindly ask you to manage your expectations.

What is Deep Cleaning, and why is it necessary?

Deep cleaning is when our house cleaners scrub your house from top to bottom. This level of cleaning is required to maintain a clean, healthy environment for your family. Please note this is not a Post Construction Cleaning. This service is intended to clean and tidy up a home with a bit extra scrubbing and cleaning. Additional services are added per request and are an additional charge. Note we have had clients think we are a construction service that has the ability to remove marks, dirt, and grime that can only be removed via sanding and repainting or reconstruction, a service we do not offer. We kindly ask you to manage your expectations.

What if my home is dirty?

Our professional cleaners will assess the house upon arrival. If the house is deemed extremely dirty we may decline to do the job and you will be charged the cancellation fee. Note we have accepted jobs for dirty homes before and, not only will it take an unreasonable amount of time to clean, but the house may still look dirty after the job is complete. In this circumstance we view as this the fault of the condition of the house and it is not a result of our cleaners performance. It is not fair to us that we do quality work to then be treated like we are incompetent because we didn’t make an old house look brand new that then results in a bad review. If your house is extremely dirty we suggest re-modeling to replace the dirty looking household items. To expect a cleaning company to make a ruined household item look brand new is not reasonable. We kindly ask you to manage expectations. 

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies for the service?

Our house cleaners arrive equipped to complete the work with a full set of cleaning equipment with eco-friendly options to ensure the best results. You don’t have to supply anything. 

Do we use toxic cleaning products?

In some instances “Harsh” chemicals are strictly used on tough to clean areas. For example, a glass shower door with calcium buildup will require CLR to clean. If this is an issue please tell us and we will use an less effective eco-friendly substitute.

Are your cleaners trained and insured?

We carry insurance for all our cleaners and train them to clean your house to your satisfaction.

How long does a typical cleaning service take?

Our cleaning crews can generally clean about 1,000 square feet per hour during your move-in/move-out cleaning services. Note we have a 5 hour cleaning limit for all services. Additional time will require an additional charge and possibly an additional appointment. We appreciate your understanding.

What are chargebacks?

Due to the increase in fraudulent chargebacks we’ve experienced throughout the entire duration of the pandemic we’ve hired a collections agency to put all fraudulent chargebacks into collections. All accounts in collections will also receive a 10% late fee every month. As well as all *NEW* customers will be charged upon booking no matter how far out you book.

Which service do you recommend for first time clients?

A deep clean is recommended for all first time cleaning by Clean Kingdom. It allows us extra time to get all the areas that have been missed during regular cleanings in the past. After the initial deep clean, most customers switch to a standard 2 hour clean.

Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel before 48 hours you will receive a full refund to the payment information on file.

If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, your booking is credited to your account to use whenever you’d like. 

If you cancel within 24 hours, it is a non refundable full charge. 

What are our hours of operation?

Our hours of operation are:
Monday – Friday: 8am-6pm

Is there a rescheduling fee?

We do not charge for rescheduling as long as it is done before 48 hours of your original booking.

How do I update billing?

Either call or text 442-245-7879 or send us an email and we will be happy to update your payment method.

What if I want to skip this weeks clean? Will I still be charged?

No, Unless it’s within the 48 hour window. Within this two day window if you decide to cancel, the clean will be credited to your account at no penalty for future use.

Do we clean any outside surface of the home?

We do not. Our insurance only covers our cleaners inside your home.

What day is my clean?

You will receive an email notification 1 day before the job and 1 hour before the job. If you need further

Do I have to be home at the beginning, during, or at the end of the clean?

You do not! As long as instructions are left as to how to enter and exit the property, we should be good to go. However if it’s your first time signing up for a Clean Kingdom cleaning, initial introductions always help develop the personable relationship with your home specialist.

Can you trust our cleaners? Are they background checked?

You sure can! With 400+ 5 star reviews and climbing and our cleaners being federally and statewide background checked we vet the best, and get rid of the rest. We do recommend you put away and or lock up any valuables before our arrival. It’s good to know where you’re valuables are ahead of time so there are no mis-aimed accusations. Also we remind you we are not liable for any lost or stolen items. If you can prove one of our maids did in fact steal from you, we will work with you to press charges and provoke the stolen item to be replaced.

Is Clean Kingdom licenced, bonded, and insured?

We are! We’re currently insured for up to $1M in general liability damage licensed in the state of California.

Can I leave a key?

Yes! It is actually preferred after the initial visit. This way we’re not holding you up if there’s traffic or if parking is a little harder than usual to find.

Is tipping normal? If so, how much?

Yes it is. However there is no suggested percentage, whatever feels good to you. Any amount is appreciated by your Home Specialist.

What if something breaks?

This seldomly occurs but accidents do happen. Please contact our office immediately to work with our insurance to get the object of value replaced. Immediate proof is required. If the accident is clearly our fault, we will work quickly to with you to resolve the matter.

Do we clean if a client is smoking while we work?

We do not! This is a strict policy as we’re adamant to provide an awesome experience for the customer, but equally providing the safest working conditions for our cleaners.

What if the cleaner doesn’t stay the entire time or finishes early?

Cleaners will often do the job they have been assigned. If the cleaner finish early then they are permitted to leave however we do no encourage this. If a cleaner does happen to leave early and clearly has not finished the job, please contact our office immediately.

What if I am not satisfied with my cleaning after they leave?

If you are not happy with the service for any reason please contact us immediately for further instructions. A re-scheduled clean must be made within 2 business days of the original appointment.

Am I charged upon booking?

Yes, this is to ensure your day and time is reserved. This may seem inconvenient and unorthodox as a service company. But due to fraudulent billings in the past we’ve changed to this standard to ensure all cleanings are paid for before service. 

Are our prices negotiable?

No, are rates are calculated by the information you provide on our booking page. We provide some of the lowest rates in the industry.

What if my home requires more time than what is booked for?

When you book online be sure to select the current level of cleanliness of your home. This ensures the proper amount of time is allocated to cleaning your home during your scheduled booking. Improper booking information will require you to reschedule at full rate.

Why do I need to select the level of cleanliness of my home when I book?

We’ve simplified the industry standard for booking cleaning services by removing the standard home walk through and any implementation of square footage into our rates.

What can I expect when I add organization to my booking?

Areas that are often left cluttered will have the added time for proper organization. Some areas that are often left unorganized are pantry’s, bedroom closets, bathroom counters, entryways, kitchen counters, etc.

How do I cancel my account?

Please head to the “account” page on our website, login into your account. Find “cancel my account” and submit a quick form to successfully cancel your clean.

To get the most out of your scheduled cleaning evaluate the current condition of your home with honesty. This will determine if your home is cleaned in one passthrough and avoids any need for rescheduling a second cleaning at cost.”
